The Muon network is continuously evolving and has been in active use ever since the first prototype was created. Each partner and project adds more use-cases and modules, further accelerating the process.

  • ‍Private Network:
    ‍    A private oracle network is implemented.
  • Initial Version of Muon Apps:
    The network starts to deploy and run Muon apps as hybrid smart contracts developed in JavaScript.
  • Multi-core Processing:
    The performance of Muon Nodes is improved through multicore-processing.
  • TSS:
    Threshold Signature Scheme is implemented as Muon's first security scheme to reduce verification costs.
  • Solana, Cosmos, Tron:
     Verifying of Muon TSS is possible on EVM, Solana, Cosmos, and Tron.‍
  • Inheritance:
     Muon apps can inherit from each other.
  • Shield Server Signature:
     Apps are enabled to run their shield servers as the second security scheme.
  • Deployment App:
     An app is added to the network which is used to assign each Muon app a random subnet of nodes.

  • ‍Expiration Time for Threshold Subnets:
    The TSS subnet for each app is updated periodically and the key is reshared.
  • Fees:
    This includes fees per request, 3rd party service that enables apps to pay fees instead of the users and dynamic fee calculation..
  • Optimistic Network:
    Warrantor nodes lock collateral to insure the validityof their responses and supervisornodes supervise their activities and can place disputes if they find amalicious activity.
  • Launching Testnet ALICE:
    Muon launches its network for experimentation called ALICE.
  • Expiration Time for TSS:
    The TSS subnet for each app is updated periodicallyand the key is reshared as a security measure.
  • Explorer:
    The explorer to view network status and requests sent to apps will be launched.
  • Launch of Pion:
    Muon ecosystem's canary and first main-net is launched on October 18th.

  • Frost TSS Implementation: A faster and more efficient version of our TSS has been developed using Frost, a high-level, general-purpose multiparadigm programming language, and is currently being tested.
  • Optimistic Network: This is the last layer in Muon’s multi-layer security architecture. Its MVP is ready and is planned to be completed in late 2024.
  • Making App Deployment Permissionless: Currently projects building on Muon need to register their apps. A mid-2024 development is making this process permissionless.
  • Multi-chaining the fee structure: Another development planned for mid-2024 is making it possible for apps to pay their fees on different chains.
